League champions Threave Rovers finished strongly against Mid annandale to grab a point in a 3-3 draw.

A minutes silence was held before the game in memory of former player Threave star Robert 'Chubby' Maxwell.

The game started with Threave minus Warren who was suspended and new signing Phil Middlemass who was working.

But it was Mids who opened the scoring on the half hour mark when no 9 Muir hit home from close range after a Fingland miskick and a mistake by Parker.

Dunglinson then hit the bar for Threave before Donley equalized with a header from a Cook cross.

Mids then regained the lead a min before the break through Dodd who scored with a great header.

Mids increased their lead on 52 mins when Norvelle left Parker helpless with a great shot.

Kerr replaced Nicol and Milligan came on for Cook and it proved vital as both scored with only 10 mins remaining.

A fighting performance from Threave and Mid annandale on this form may shock a few teams this season.
