Donley opened the scoring in the 8th min with a shot that keeper Miurhead maybe should have saved. After a good Phil Middlemass run Cook volleyed home to make it 2-0

Crichton got a life line on 39 mins when Patterson was ajudged to full Little in the box and Little scored from the spot with Benson getting his hand to the ball but unable to keep it out. Just before half time Phil Middlemass was sent off for abuse towards the linesman and Lee True was also sent off when he hauled down Donley when right through.

Half time Threave 2 Crichton 1

In the second half man of the match Danny Dunglison finished clinically after a good run by Struthers. The Struthers got into the act with a well placed shot on 75 mins to make it 4-1.

Dunglison again scored on 80 mins with aneat shot and Donley completed the scoring with five mins left.

Donley hit the post in the last min with a penalty after he was fouled in the box.
