Threave moved to the top of the south of scotland league on goal difference with this hard fought win against a young spirited Creetown team.

Threave opened brightly and top scorer Andy Donley headed the opener on 21 mins from a Davie Irons free kick/

Donley increased the lead on 32 mins when he lobbed keeper Roddie again from an Irons through ball.

Paul Cooke made it 3-0 just before half time when he ran through after Donley got sandwiched.

Creetown manager Robert Tweedie's stern half time team talk seemed to work with McKie 47 mins then Mazza 49 mins scoring to give us game on.

Sam Warren hit home a screamer from 30 yards to give Threave some breathing space. Muir then missed an open goal for the visitors bfore Manager Mcvittiegave the young lads Durham,G Middlemass and Middleton the last 10 mins.

A good win for Threave against a very never say die young Creetown team.
